These Colored Furs are Faux Real
Moving to Boston caused us both to beef up our winter gear collection, and we’ve somehow amassed a closet full of colored faux fur. We’ve got vests, we’ve got coats, we’ve got stoles – whatever you could imagine, we’ve probably got it. The beauty of these items is their ability to be worn into spring time and as accent pieces on special occasions, so you can bet we won’t be storing these lovelies away any time soon. Take a peek into our capsule collection and let us know what your favorite is!
Our fur-ocious looks start out with the ultimate statement pieces - faux fur coats in bright colors and patterns. While many of these coats may have been impulse buys (oops!), they have been some of our most versatile pieces of the season. From formal wear to casual outfits, these coats have served us well!
Next up we’ve got vests! These aren’t your average vests - they’re cool vests. So cool, in fact, even Regina George would make an exception to the rules of sitting with the Plastics at lunch if you wore one. The bottom line is, if you wear a fur vest, you CAN sit with us at lunch anytime. Wear them opened or closed, with pants or a skirt, the limit to the versatility of a good vest does not exist.
Looking for a creative way to spice up an old favorite vest? Try pairing it with a statement belt. We love the way the detailing on Amy’s belt compliments the patterns in her scarf print skirt below. Love the look but not ready to commit to fur clothing? These fuzzy scarves stole our hearts! These garments are so cozy they’ll have you feeling like you’re cuddling with a warm puppy dog all day long. We love the way they pop the pink color of the jewel in Adrienne’s tassel earrings and punch up the blue of Amy’s polka dot skirt below. The yellow and burgundy colors in Adrienne’s multi-colored stole are the perfect edgy compliment to her ruffled leather skirt. Scroll through to check out each look!
These shoes are proof that faux fur shouldn’t be limited to just slippers! When added to more structured shoes, like the loafers and heeled booties below, they can add an interesting element of surprise to any outfit (or living room ottoman).
